Texas EMS and Trauma Registry data are based on passive surveillance of records submitted by Texas EMS entities and hospitals. The data used are traumatic injuries reported by hospitals, which must report spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and other traumatic injuries specified in Title 25, Chapter 103 of the Texas Administrative Code.
